It’s been a while but now I have a day off.
Not really, I just skipped school because I don’t feel like going! my bad! I should be getting ready to go out cause I’m supposed to hang out with a friend that I wasn’t with on good terms at 2 and It’s 11:30 but who cares..
LET WE ROLL ON CARIBBEAN TIME, Nothing much has been going on. Since I got back from Kuwait things are a bit messy. So I’m just working, go to work… the usual! I might get a job at an international agency as an Art Director for some huge account.
For those who don’t know me much, I thought I’d share something I wrote a few days back to some sort of a social organization that ditched what I sent, here we go:
I’m a 25 year old sort of a chubby person, Growing up was a bit difficult, I was born 3 days after Christmas in 1984, My mother was 46 years old. I have 4 sisters, all married with children, in my age. So, you can say that by the time I was 5. I realized I had 5 mothers. My mother didn’t know she was even pregnant, until 4-5 months she realized she was getting fatter and fatter, and hangovers were just too hard to take and checked for a blood test. She had high blood pressure and diabetes because of pregnancy and It was her call.
I’d either be killed inside her and brought out like dump or they’d cut her wide open and have me out the so-far called Caesarian way OR… They’d simply have to pull me from a limp, either left hand or left leg because that’s all they could see, while my mother was making it hard for me live inside her.
I was pulled from my hand and since then, I have what they call a baby shoulder? My hand grows way less than it should and doesn’t fully function due to the lack of blood vessels and a nerve damage. I’d tell you more in person if you were interested to hear. However, the point I’m reaching here is how the culture here looks at me as If I’m an alien, I have pierced myself, had my hair done in all you think of rainbow colors, I keep a trendy look and wear the best outfits, yet… someone don’t think of me as a normal person in the society, not because of this… because of my weirdly looking hand (to them).
Agencies wouldn’t hire me as a designer, teachers would go easy on me at university although I challenged used a T-square with one hand and done the best CAD you can see from a beginner. I don’t take pity good because I handle it pretty much better than well-beings. I type so fast with one hand, it takes me less time to type on keyboard than those fully functional, I also deejay with one hand, I even clip my nails and it is not bothering me, I think society should understand me better.
However, I had my shot at an amazing agency as a trainee and received 3 international awards in advertising, Now I’m back here to finish my masters degree and god knows what’s next.
So here you go total strangers, hunt me :)
Saudi Arabia’s Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) has asked Canada-based Research In Motion, the makers of BlackBerry, to allow the telecoms regulator access to monitor messages sent by the mobile device through it.
BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) network. CITC wants access inorder to monitor the messages, and are threatening to shut down the service for noncompliance. BBM is a special messaging service for BlackBerry phone users. For a monthly flat fee, BlackBerry owners can share messages, IM and multimedia with other BlackBerry owners.
There have been rumours that the BBM service will stopped this week, but CITC has not commented on such reports. Meanwhile, BBM maker Research in Motion (RIM) said it is investigating reports in the Arab press that Saudi regulators have asked the company for access to its unique messaging service for its BlackBerry devices. “RIM operates in more than 170 countries around the world and respects the regulatory requirements of governments,” the company said in a statement issued to Arab News. “RIM is investigating the reported matter in Saudi Arabia and will provide an update once further information is available.”
