I don’t want to go all cliche and write a memorial or one of those guilt posts towards the death of Steve Jobs.
Apple Macintosh helped me find-out and realize that I loved Graphic Design long time ago. I remember when I was 11 years old that my father used to be the art director of a famous magazine in Kuwait and used to take me with him on Thursdays to let my mother breath-out for a day (ADHD was really kicking in back then) and I used to spend hours playing around with an old Macintosh Classic, It was my own little world.
I instantly fell in love with it! This was back in 1995 when everyone had their brand new Windows 95. I used to love browsing on Netscape, love the Mac OS icons, options, little simple games and easy navigation… also the one click mouse.
Steve’s death, somehow reminded me of the death of a greater man in my life, my father.
My father died back in 2008 and all I have left reminding me of him is an Apple mouse, a small pocket-size portrait photo and a diary.
I feel sorry for those suffering from pancreatic cancer and their families.
